The Bartending Guide
                                             FROZEN BLENDER DRINKS


Frozen or blender drinks are refreshing desert type drinks.
They are made by blending various ingredients or by using a prepared commercial premix.

Basic Preparation
These drinks are usually served in a hurricane (curved) or specialty glass.
Any drink can be made frozen by putting all the ingredients in the blender with ice.

Pina Colada
Pina Colada Premix*
1oz. Rum
Ice
Blend until slushy
Garnish with pineapple, orange & cherry or whipped cream and a cherry.

Daiquiri
1oz. Rum
Sour Mix
½oz. Lime Juice
Ice
Blend
Garnish with whipped cream and cherry

Margarita
1oz. Tequila
½oz. Triple Sec
½oz. Lime Juice
Sour Mix
Ice
Blend
Garnish with lime.

*Pina Colada Premix (if not using a commercial mix)
Two 32oz. cans of pineapple juice
One 12oz. can of cream of coconut
Blend and refrigerate

For other flavored drinks use flavored mixes and fresh fruit.

The frozen drinks that you see on a restaurant table vary between establishments and have to be learned on the job.
